pic1 CHINANSI is an abbreviation for Centre for Human rights and Institute for National Social Initiatives. The organisation was founded in 2007 by people who are moved by the issues that affects development in Balaka and the entire Malawi nation. It was registered in 2008 by the Registrar General under the 1962 Trustees Act: Registration number: TR/INC 4121 and also became an active member of the CONGOMA. Chinansi Foundation is targeting Balaka District. The district is located in the southern part of Malawi. In the Community Chinansi has deployed volunteers who work as community development facilitators. Read More

newSchool authorities and surrounding community with the help of the Chinansi Foundation have been mobilized not only to mould bricks, but also erect an unfinished structure/building for teachers’ office in the hopes that well-wishers outside the community might one day assist financially with the purchase of building materials to finish the structure. USAID provided Chinansi Foundation with funds to purchase building materials through the contract that was signed on 2nd December 2010. There was however no allocation for the book shelves, text books, solar panel and computers. This means that even after the project is completed, Chinansi Foundation will fundraise for the purchase book shelves.
